Logan Roberson picked up a $3,000 Fastrak win at Virginia Motor Speedway.
What won the race: Winning his first Fastrak Racing Series event of the season, Logan Roberson of Waynesboro, Va., drove to victory Saturday at Virginia Motor Speedway. Roberson earned $3,000 for his win ahead of Carson Ferguson and Corey Almond in the tour’s Prelude to the World Championship.
Quotable: “This car was fast from the time that we unloaded, and everything that we did to it, only made it handle better throughout the night,” Roberson said. “It took a little longer than I would’ve liked to get to the lead in the feature, but regardless we got the job done and have a lot of confidence in our corner right now. I’m crazy pumped for the World Championship race there next month.”
Key notes: Runner-up Carson Ferguson of Charlotte, N.C., won the June 15 visit to Jamaica, one of three series wins Ferguson has on the year. … Polesitter Michael Brown was an early retiree and finished 18th, as was third-starting Kyle Hardy who dropped out and finished 19th. … The series returns to VMS for the $50,000-to-win Fastrak World Championship on Sept. 13-14.
