What won the race: Winning his first series race since the 2013 opener, Pat Doar of New Richmond, Wis., won from outside the front row Thursday at Norman County Speedway to earn $2,000. Doar's victory was his series-leading 29th of his career. Polesitter Jeremy Keller of Mandan, N.D., finished second.
Key notes: The Thursday night race opened a tripleheader weekend that wraps up the 2014 season. ... As part of School Night, spectators bringing school supplies received a $3 admission discount. ... Several NLRA regulars were on hand at the track that hosts a third NLRA race on Aug. 21.
On the move: Brad Seng of Grand Forks, N.D., started 16th and finished seventh.
