What won the race: Mark Whitener of Middleburg, Fla., won Sunday's National Late Model Super Car Series main event at East Alabama Motor Speedway, finishing 1.092 seconds ahead of Austin Horton. The 47-lap race, part of the track's annual Alabama State Championship, paid $5,000-to-win.
Key notes: Twelve of the 20 starters finished the race, with 11 completing all 47 circuits. … Whitener also won the night’s Crate Late Model feature, giving him a weekend haul of $10,000. … EAMS hosts the annual National 100 Nov. 2-3.
