Max Blair picks up the hardware for his Thunder Mountain sweep.
What won the race: Sliding ahead of fellow second-row starter Doug Drown on lap 18, Max Blair of Centerville, Pa., dominated the rest of the way to completed a weekend sweep at Thunder Mountain Speedway. Taking the checkers 5.496 seconds ahead of Drown, Blair added the $7,100 payday to his $4,000 Ultimate Northeast victory the previous night.
Key notes: Second-starting Matt Lux led the first 10 laps before Drown took control ... Blair, the Zimmer’s United Late Model Series champion, has eclipsed the 40-victory mark between Super and Crate Late Model events. ... Thunder Mountain's weekend concluded the Ultimate Northeast Season.
