What won the race: Outrunning polesitter Larry Campbell, outside front-row starter Brandon Hunter of Alma, Ark., picked up his second Malvern Bank Cash Money Super Dirt Series win of the season. Hunter earned $1,000 for winning the tour’s portion of Saturday’s 40th annual Spooker at Tri-State Speedway, while Campbell settled for second.
Key notes: Heat winner and 11-time series winner this season Brad Looney of Republic, Mo., finished 18th. ... The race was originally set for Friday, but inclement weather and saturated grounds pushed it back a day. … Tri-State hosts a $2,000-to-win program for unsanctioned Super Late Models on Sunday.
