What won the race: Polesitter Craig Parker of Waddell, Ariz., led flag-to-flag for his fifth Southwest Dirt Racing Association victory of the season. Parker collected $700 for winning the feature at Canyon Speedway Park Saturday ahead of Steve Stultz and John Cornell.
Key notes: Parker dominated the main event, finishing 8.032 seconds ahead of Stultz. … The victory was his 10th career SWDRA win, moving him into a tie for eighth with Anthony Madrid of Phoenix, Ariz., on the tour’s all-time win list. … Parker drew the pole for the feature after finishing second in his heat. … Third-starting Bruce Duckett spun on the opening lap and tagged the tail. He finished sixth. … James Laing and Bud Grossenbacher didn’t start the feature. Laing had engine issues after his heat race. … Bruce Duckett won $100 in the random draw from sponsor Bobbi Engle.
