What won the race: Kanyan Methvin of Yellville, Ark., captured the Malvern Bank Cash Money Super Series finale Sunday at Springfield Raceway, earning $1,000.
Key notes: Series champ Brad Looney of Republic, Mo., wasn’t in action after the series levied a year-long suspension against him for an Oct. 19 incident in the pits at Midway Speedway following a Looney tangle with Chris Hawkins in a heat race. ... Looney was disqualified from the Midway event after a physical altercation in the pits with a series official, according to a Oct. 19 Facebook post by Hawkins.
