What won the race: Leading all 30 laps, Booger Brooks of Chattanooga, Tenn., grabbed a $5,000 Super Late Model victory Saturday at Clarksville Speedway, winning the finale of the 16th annual Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic. Brooks took the checkers 0.729 seconds ahead of Brian Shirley.
Quotable: “With (the track) being rubbered up like that, you just stay in the bottom,” Brooks said. “I didn’t ever think they could pass me on the outside there, so we just stayed down there and … we wasn’t blocking … just holding our own line there. This Savage Race Car was on kill tonight. We didn’t change nothing on this thing all weekend. I just told ‘em we had a fast race car, just leave it alone and don’t touch it.”
