What won the race: Continuing his mastery of Jackson Motorplex, Tad Pospisil of Norfolk, Neb., cruised to a flag-to-flag victory in Saturday's 20-lap RepairableVehicles.com Tri-State Late Model Series feature at Jackson Motorplex. He earned $1,000 for his efforts.
Quotable: “I loved this place from Day One,” Pospisil said in victory lane. “I just love the layout. They say it’s a mini Knoxville and it’s pretty darn close, just not quite as long. I like these high speed racetracks and for some reason this place fits me pretty darn well.”
Key notes: Pospisil was victorious for the sixth time in as many appearances at Jackson. ... Pospisil won both of Friday's dashes, which kicked off two nights of action at Jackson for the Tri-State tour. ... The tour was added to the undercard of the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series's Drydene Double Down Invitational just days before the event.
Winner's sponsors: Pospisil’s Bloomquist Race Car is powered by a Scott Bailey Racing Engine and sponsored by Cookie’s Sauces and Seasonings, Signor Trucking, Window World, Keyser Mfg., Bam Roller Lifters, ASi RaceWear, Sehi & Associates, KIX 106.7-FM and Hoosier Tire.
Points chase: Heading to Jackson, Bill Leighton Jr. of La Vista, Neb., had 150 points to lead Josh Leonard (142) and Cory Dumpert (135).
