What won the race: Starting fifth and grabbing the lead near halfway, reigning tour champ Rick Hearnsberger of Arkadelphia, Ark., collected $750 for Saturday's Southern Outlaw Late Model Series victory at Batesville Motor Speedway. Terry Henson, who improved eight positions, was runner-up in the 2020 series opener.
Key notes: Hearnsberger was an eight-race series winner last season. ... His 11 career series victories is one shy of Eddie Martin, the all-time leader. ... Heat winner Steven Crocker fell from contention in the main event with mechanical problems.
