What won the race: Completing the weekend sweep, Jacob Hawkins of Fairmont, W. Va., won Saturday’s 25-lap Steel Block Late Model Series feature at Jackson County Speedway, collecting $1,200 for his second series win in as many days.
Key notes: Hawkins, who won Friday at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio, earned a $500 bonus as the driver with the best average finish of the two shows. … Hawkins became first repeat winner in five events on the first-year tour for Limited Late Models. … Jackson County Speedway was on the verge of cancelling Saturday’s race due to the water truck and grader being out of commission, but officials at Atomic Speedway lent Jackson County their equipment in order to hold their event. … Jackson County hosted the series for the third time this season. … The series returns Aug. 21.
