What won the race: Tom Maddox of Centre, Ala., picked up $3,000 in the 38th annual Rome Boss on the same night Jason Croft of Woodstock, Ga., wrapped up the Dixie-Rome Super Late Model Crown with a runner-up finish. Polesitter Tony Knowles of Tyrone, Ga., led 34 laps before a flat tire knocked him out of the top spot.
Key notes: Jason Croft entered the event tied with Michael Page in the combined Dixie-Rome points chase, and Page fell from contention late when making contact with another car while battling with Croft. ... Along with the title, Croft picked up a $1,000 bonus for the best combined finish in weekend races at Dixie and Rome. Croft won Saturday's feature at Dixie. ...
