Gregg Satterlee (22) overtakes Tim Fuller and his deflating tire.
What won the race: Third-starting Gregg Satterlee of Indiana, Pa., took the lead with less than five laps remaining in the 30-lap event when race leader Tim Fuller of Watertown, N.Y., suffered a right-rear flat tire.
Quotable: “The track was awesome," Satterlee said. "I could put the car anywhere I wanted. There was a little spot entering turn one, but there was plenty of room that you could go under it or outside of it."
Key notes: The victory is Satterlee's first of 2014. ... Second-starting Russ King of Bristolville, Ohio, led the first five laps before Fuller took the point with a high-side charge. ... Dan Stone of Thompson, Pa., went up in smoke on the 14th lap to draw the first of two cautions after battling amongst the frontrunners early. ... Satterlee took second from King on the ensuing restart; he pressured Fuller heavily, pulling alongside on a few different occasions, before slipping past when the leader's tire began deflating. ... Doug Eck of Corry, Pa., brought out the second caution on lap 18. ... The Chiller Thriller was the lone visit the first-year tour will make to Mercer. ... The event was originally scheduled for March 29, but wintry weather postponed it until this weekend; Mother Nature forced officials to once again move the show this weekend from Saturday night to Sunday afternoon. ... Dennis Lunger, also of Corry, won the caution-free Crate Late Model feature.
