What won the race: Sliding ahead of Jared Miley on lap 23 to regain the lead, polesitter Michael Norris of Sarver, Pa., scored the $3,000 Zimmer’s United Late Model Northern Series victory Saturday in the tour's season opener at Sharon Speedway. He took the checkers 2.204 seconds ahead of Miley.
Key notes: Norris won his second career ULMS event; his first victory came in 2019 at Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway. ... Norris regained the lead from Miley on lap 23 with a slider after starting on the pole. … Norris drove the No. 02 owned by Todd Cerenzia, who fielded the car Norris drove to a World of Outlaws win at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa., in 2019. ...
