Key notes: Friday's World of Outlaws Late Model Series event at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tenn., was interrupted by heavy rains during qualifying, forcing officials to postpone the event until Sunday, May 18. ... The postponement now sets up a mid-May tripleheader for the series, which is scheduled to visit 201 Speedway in Sitka, Ky., on Friday, May 16, and Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn., on Saturday, May 17, before wrapping up the weekend at Duck River on Sunday.
Points chase: Gunning for his third title, Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky., entered the event with 860 points to lead Brandon Sheppard (838), who is subbing for Josh Richards in the Rocket Chassis house car. Rick Eckert (798), Shane Clanton (780) and Tim McCreadie (766) are also in pursuit.
