What won the race: Fending off a late-race charge from polesitter Zack Dohm, fast qualifier Carson Ferguson of Concord, N.C., rolled to the $3,000 American All-Star Series presented by PPM victory in Friday’s Coal Miner’s 40 at Princeton Speedway. He took the checkers ahead of Dohm and Henry Hornsby III.
Key notes: Ferguson claimed his second tour win of the season at the West Virginia oval. … Dohm, who was piloting his father's No. 6T entry, finished second after starting on the pole. … Seventeen drivers completed all 40 laps. … The Crate Late Models of the American All-Star Series presented by PPM made their second and final appearance of the season at Princeton Speedway on Saturday for the $3,000-to-win Coal Miner’s 40. … Friday’s program opened a big weekend in West Virginia for the All-Stars with Beckley (W.Va.) Motorsports Park set to host the series on Saturday for a $10,000-to-win event.
