Christian Thomas won his third straight FUEL tour victory.
What won the race: Christian Thomas of Wake Forest, N.C., powered to a $3,000 victory in Saturday's Fast Unified Engine Late Model-sanctioned Wayne Gray Sr. Memorial at Fayetteville Motor Speedway. Thomas beat Michael Batten to the finish line in the 35-lap feature, his third straight series victory.
Key notes: Thomas continued his domination of the mixed-engine Late Model tour's 2021 season, racing off the pole position to record his fourth win in five events. ... Thomas previously was victorious in FUEL competition at Fayetteville on May 29 and has won four of the tour's last five events there. ... Saturday's feature was slowed by multiple incidents and lasted 39 minutes, with 16 competitors completing all 35 laps.
