What won the race: Mike Palasini Jr. of Leland, Miss., raced to his second Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series victory of the season and fifth of his career Saturday at Greenville Speedway. The outside front-row starter earned $3,000 after taking the early lead from polesitter and fellow front-row starter Neil Baggett in a 40-lapper with only four drivers finishing on the lead lap.
Key notes: Palasini also won on the tour July 31 at Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Miss. ... His first-ever tour victory came at Greenville, the home track of his car owner Doug Showah, in 2019. ... Palasini won May 22 at Greenville on the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series. ...
