Keith Jackson picked up $2,500 in the Winchester 200 opener.
What won the race: Second-starting Keith Jackson of Edenton, Md., got the jump on fellow front-row starter Dan Stone of Thompson, Pa., and led every lap of Friday's Winchester 200 tuneup. He earned $2,500 for his victory over Stone.
Key notes: The 30-lap feature was slowed by a single caution on lap 17. ... The 38-car field was split into a pair of groups for qualifying, which were topped by Tim Senic and Rick Eckert. ... Both Senic and Eckert were early retirees in the main event. ... Eckert piloted Paul Crowl's familiar No. 7 Rocket Chassis. ... Austin Hubbard, Tommy Armel, Greg Elrod, D.J. Myers, Kerry King Jr. and Tony Crim were among drivers failing to make the feature. ... The Winchester 200 has been run annually every year since 1963 except '67. ...
