What won the race: Joey Tanner of Portland, Ore., swapped the lead once with Brad Martin of Warren, Ohio, before gaining control for good on lap 11 and rolling on to the victory.
Key notes: Tanner registered his third career win on the Crate Late Model series. It was his first triumph at the 3/8-mile Yakima dirt track. ... Martin slipped to third at the finish, falling short in his bid for a first-ever Northwest Extreme win. ... Eugene, Ore.’s Jesse Williamson finished second in car owned by Jerry Schram of Vancouver, Wash., who placed fourth. ... The Northwest Extreme tour's 2014 season concludes on Saturday with the second half of the Yakima doubleheader.
