Casey Roberts enjoys victory lane at Lavonia Speedway.
What won the race: Polesitter Casey Roberts of Toccoa, Ga., topped Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, Tenn., for a $4,000 Ultimate Super Late Model Series victory in the Georgia State Championships at Lavonia (Ga.) Speedway.
Key notes: Roberts scored his 11th career Ultimate victory. ... Chris Ferguson, the winner of Saturday's Carolina Clash event at Wythe Raceway, drew the event's first caution on the third lap. ... Randy Dillard lost a driveshaft for a caution on the eighth lap. ... A yellow flag flew for Jim Manka on lap 15. ... Another yellow flew on lap 25 for debris from Jonathan Edwards car after he hit the wall. ... Brent Dixon slowed for a lap-32 caution with a flat tire. ... The race was pushed back one week by Mother Nature. ... All three of the tour's previous dates at Lavonia were hampered by rain. ... The track's Georgia State Championship weekend also featured Fastrak Crate Late Models and the Southeastern Late Model Sportsman Series on Friday.
