Clay Fisher won his first Comp Cams race in six years.
What won the race: Capitalizing when race-long leader Logan Martin cut down a tire with five laps remaining, polesitter Clay Fisher of DeWitt, Ark., earned $4,000 in a 30-lapper Friday at Greenville Speedway in the postponed Gumbo Nationals feature.Fisher grabbed his second career Comp Cams Super Dirt Series victory and first since 2015.
Key notes: Fisher's first Comp Cams victory came Sept. 26, 2015, in the tour's season finale at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark. ... Logan Martin, who started outside the front row, paced the field 25 circuits before cutting down a tire after contact with the wall amid traffic. ...
