What won the race: Fifth-starting Jerry Bard of Shippensburg, Pa., led all but three laps and lapped all but four drivers in dominating the unsanctioned Chili 100 to earn $3,000. Tail-starting Jim Yoder of Selinsgrove, Pa., was running second when mechanical problems forced him out, and Kerry King Jr. lost second when he weight in too light. Jeremy Ohl, the track's Limited Late Model champ, was elevated to the second spot in his first Super Late Model start at the track.
Key notes: The lone slowdown over 100 laps was for Tim Luben's wreck when he slammed the backstretch wall; it drew a caution and then a red flag. ... Polesitter Jason Schmidt finished third. ... Jamin Chapman finished eighth in his Limited Late Model. ... Last year's Chili 100 winner Chris Farrell had a broken driveshaft in his heat race but salvaged seventh in the feature. ... Jim Yoder started in a backup car after being the victim of a heat race accident that damaged his primary car.
Winner's sponsors: Bard's Rocket Chassis is sponsored by Hockenberry's Floor Coverings and B&F Homebuilders.
Car count: 15
Editor's note: Corrects Bard's starting spot to fifth sted sixth.
