Justin Zeitner picked up his third Tri-State Series victory of the season.
What won the race: Reigning series champion Justin Zeitner of Malvern, Iowa, overtook polesitter Cole Searing on the 24th lap and pulled away for a 30-lap victory Thursday at Dakota State Fair Speedway on the Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Series. Zeitner earned $3,000 in taking the checkers 1.998 seconds ahead of Searing, last year's WISSOTA weekly champion.
Key notes: The third-starting Zeitner has three victories in four Tri-State Series this season and a series-leading 14 career tour victories. ... Outside front-row starter Jordan Heiman retired with five laps remaining while running fifth.
