Jeff Provinzino raced to victory at Grand Rapids Speedway.
What won the race: Jeff Provinzino of Hibbing, Minn., overtook race-long leader Dave Flynn and polesitter Rick Niemi late to win his first Northern LateModel Racing Association feature Thursday at Grand Rapids (Minn.) Speedway. Provinzino won from the third-starting position.
Key notes: Cole Schill of Hawley, Minn., scratched from the feature, costing him the series points lead. ... Dave Flynn of Superior, Wis., started second and led most of Thursday's feature, but finished seventh after misstep when he hit a rut on the 3/8-mile. ... Kevin Burdick of Proctor, Minn., finished second. ... Niemi, the Grand Rapids points leader, finished third. ... Eighteen cars finished the feature. ... Grand Rapids hosted the NLRA tour for the third time.
