What won the race: Second-starting Mark Whitener of Middleburg, Fla., took the lead for good on a lap-14 restart and paced the final 47 circuits at Golden Isles Speedway on Saturday, topping the Crate Racin' USA National field to capture the $10,000 Ray Miller Memorial.
Key notes: Whitener initially took the lead on lap 10, before polesitter Haiden Cowan of Rincon, Ga., regained the lead on lap 11 and paced the field through lap 13, before giving way to Whitener. ... Cowan led a total of 13 laps (lap one through nine, then laps 11 through 13) before retiring on lap 31, relegating him to finish 22nd. ... Nineteenth-starting Cody Overton of Evans, Ga., charged to take second place on lap 53 and finished there, 1.345 seconds behind Whitener. ... Hunter Peacock of Macon, Ga., entered the top-three by lap 14 and stayed there for the remainder of the race, finishing third. ...
