Jimmy Mars scored a $10,000 repeat at I-94 Speedway.
What won the race: Jimmy Mars of Menomonie, Wis., led all 40 laps Saturday from outside the front row in repeating the $10,000 Speedway Motors WISSOTA 100 feature at I-94 Sure Step Speedway. The race ended in the wee hours after rain delayed the program.
Key notes: Fresh off last weekend's $9,200 Seitz Memorial victory at River Cities (N.D.) Speedway, Don Shaw of Ham Lake Minn., moved into the runner-up position on lap two and finished 0.337 of a second back. ... Pat Doar of New Richmond, Wis., moved into third place on the lap-three restart and rounded-out the podium. ... Cole Searing of Huron, S.D., traded fourth place multiple times on restarts, prevailing after taking the spot for good on lap 36. ... Polesitter Chad Becker of Aberdeen, S.D., failed to lead a lap and faded to finish fifth. ... Scott Ward of Watertown, S.D., advanced five positions and finished sixth. ... I-94 Speedway track champion Shawn Meyer of Mahpeton, N.D., completed only seven laps and finished 30th. ... After initially crossing the finish line in 12th, Bryce Sward of Nelson, Minn., was disqualified and relegated to finish 33rd. ... A large rain storm hit the track just after the street stock feature, causing Saturday's feature to take the green just before 2 a.m. local time. After being slowed by six cautions, the race lasted 35 minutes and finished at 2:30 a.m. local time, with 18 drivers completing all 40 laps.
On the move: Sam Mars of Menomonie, Wis., started 15th and finished seventh.
