Hicks of Grayson, Ky., dominated at Willard Speedway on Saturday, sweeping the Fall Break 50 show and topping the American Crate All-Star Series presented by PPM field, collecting $5,000. Hicks' victory gives him nearly $8,000 in total winnings at Willard, including last year's win there.
Key notes: July's series winner at Willard, Hayden Cardwell of Knoxville, Tenn., settled for the runner-up position. ... Fellow Knoxville-native, Zach Sise, rounded-out the podium in third place. ... After winning Friday's $2,500 stop at Beckley (W.Va.) Motor Speedway, Benji Hicks of Mount Airy, N.C., finished 12th. ... Logan Roberson of Waynesboro, Va., failed to complete all 50 laps and finished 21st. ... The American All-Star Series presented by PPM returns to Willard Speedway for its final weekend of the year, with a $2,000-to-win feature on Nov. 11 and a $15,000-to-win season finale on Nov. 12.
