Key notes: Saturday rain spoiled the finale; the Crate Racin’ USA Winter Shootout event won't be made up. ... Ross Bailes, Kyle Bronson, Michael Page and Rye Faulk earned $1,500 victories in Thursday's four 20-lap qualifying features. Austin Yarbrough, Freddie Carpenter, Donald McIntosh and Randy Weaver were victorious in Friday's qualifying features. ... The top-20 drivers accumulating the most points after all qualifying features will be locked into Saturday’s $10,000-to-win main event. Those drivers outside the top-20 in points after Friday will need to transfer through Saturday’s consolation races. … The driver with the most points accumulated after Saturday’s feature will be crowned DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals champion for their respective division. … Mark Whitener of Middleburg, Fla., won last year’s $1,500 qualifying feature before rain cancelled the remainder of the event. … Kyle Bronson of Brandon, Fla., is the two-time defending event champion after earning $10,000 in 2021 and sweeping the entire event in 2020, collecting over $13,500. … 604 Crate Late Models are running in conjunction with the World of Outlaws Case Late Models, with 602 Crate Late Models also on the undercard.
