What won the race: Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga., charged to the early lead, then outran Shane Clanton of Zebulon, Ga., for a $5,000 victory in Boyd's Speedway's Turkey Gobble 50. The 21-year-old McIntosh earned his first victory for Blount Motorsports; he's been the primary driver for the Maryville, Tenn.-based team since Billy Ogle Jr. left in September.
Quotable: "We've had a lot of ups and downs. I've learned a lot. I've been very blessed to drive for them," McIntosh said. "I can't thank Larry Garner and Blount Motorsports enough. I've torn up a bunch of stuff in this car and they've still believed in me. They've got awesome equipment ... I'm glad I could get a win for 'em."
Key notes: McIntosh finished third in the 2014 Old Man's Garage Spring Nationals points standings and fifth in the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals standings. The race was slowed by three cautions. ... The first yellow flew on the sixth lap when a car spun at the tail of the field. ... Another caution fell lap 18 for a two-car tangle. ... David Payne of Murphy, N.C., drew the final yellow on lap 35 when he slowed on the racetrack. ... Jordon Horton of Sneedville, Tenn., was the winner of the $1,200-to-win Crate Late Model event. ... Ryan Gifford captured the $1,500-to-win Limited Late Model event.
