Mike Mullen took a seat in victory lane at Outagamie Speedway.
What won the race: Second-starting Mike Mullen of Seymour, Wis., led all 30 laps at Outagamie Speedway, winning Friday's Salute to Service 30 feature. He beat five-time series champion Nick Anvelink to the finish line for a $1,250 check and his first win of 2023 on the Wabam Dirt Kings Tour.
Key notes: Mullen earned his second career Dirt Kings victory; his other checkered flag came in 2020, also at his home track. ... Anvelink moved into the runner-up position on lap 12 and finished 1.764 seconds back. ... After winning last weekend's $3,007 season opener at Red Cedar Speedway, A.J. Diemel started and finished third. ... Kyle Raddant advanced seven positions and finished fourth. ... Polesitter Ron Berna faded to finish ninth. ... Rookie Jayden Schmidt won a heat race but engine problems forced him to scratch from the feature. ...
