Tyler Peterson scored his fourth NLRA victory of 2023.
What won the race: Second-starting rookie Tyler Peterson of Hickson, N.D., led all 25 laps Thursday at Norman County Raceway for his fourth Northern LateModel Racing Association victory of the season. He finished 1.024 seconds ahead of polesitter and reigning tour champ Mike Greseth.
Quotable: "We're really busy at work and it's been tough to even have time to work on the car. Hats off to my dad. He puts a lot of time in making sure we stay up front," said Peterson, who's in contention for WISSOTA's overall points title. "It's just a grind. The points race is a tough deal. ... There's a long ways to go but this is another one to (add) to the belt."
Key notes: Ninth-starting Dustin Strand moved into third on lap 14 and finished third. ... Brody Troftgruben advanced three positions to finish eighth. ... After winning his first career NLRA race last Saturday at Devils Lake Speedway, John Seng started 13th and finished 10th. ... Thursday's 25-lap feature was completed without incident and lasted just eight minutes, with 12 drivers completing the entire distance; 17 were running at the finish. ... NLRA competitors take Friday off before concluding the weekend with Saturday's $1,250-to-win event at Greenbush (Minn.) Race Park.
