What won the race: Leading all the way in Saturday's Free State 50 at Hagerstown Speedway, series points leader Derick Quade of Mechanicsville, Md., notched his first victory on the Steel Block Bandits Dirt Late Model Challenge series for a $5,000 payday. The outside front-row starter took the checkers 1.309 seconds ahead of seventh-starting Devin Hart.

A multicar incident necessitated a 15-minute cleanup when Brad Omps, Larry Ramsey, Andy Fries and pole-starting Brad Lowe tangled on lap 12, ending each of their nights; a planned fuel stop on lap 30 took 20 minutes to coordinate and execute. … Seventeen of 26 starters completed 50 laps.
