What won the race: Fast qualifier and winningest Ultimate Series driver Casey Roberts of Toccoa, Ga., led all 40 laps Sunday night at Lavonia Speedway to win the Super Late Model portion of Late Model Mania. Roberts earned $4,000 for his 13th career series victory while outrunning fellow front-row starter Dennis "Rambo" Franklin.
Key notes: Six cautions, five over the first three laps, slowed the action, mostly for minor incidents. ... Three cars tangled to require a complete restart initially, and Casey Barrow was part of a lap-22 accident. ... Colby Cannon won the $2,000 Fastrak Crate feature of Late Model Mania. ... Replacing of the scoring loop pushed the event late.
On the move: Jay Sessoms of Stanley, N.C., came from eighth to third.
Winner's sponsors: Roberts drives a Longhorn Chassis sponsored by Cushman Paint & Body and M&S Concrete.
