Justin Zeitner picked up a $1,500 victory at Murray County.
What won the race: Pole-starting Justin Zeitner of Malvern, Iowa, secured a commanding flag-to-flag victory in Friday's $1,500 Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Late Model Series stop at Murray County Speedway. Zeitner's first victory of the season was the 18th of his career, adding to his lead on the tour's all-time wins list.
Key notes: Third-starting Dyllan Ricks took the runner-up spot on a lap-15 restart and trailed Zeitner the rest of the way, finishing 0.675 of a second back. ... Fifth-starting Blair Nothdurft pursued Zeitner the opening 14 laps before settling for third. ... Blake Swenson improved six positions and placed seventh. ... Sixth-running Chase Alves slowed on the final lap and limped across in 10th. ... The feature was slowed by five cautions, the most serious for a multicar melee a lap-15 restart attempt when Chuck Swenson, Shane DeMey and Chris Palsrock spun while battling for seventh. The incident collected Trevor Anderson and Ryan Schaufler, ending Schaufler's night. Swenson and Anderson each continued for a few more laps before pulling off. ... The race lasted 24 minutes, with 13 drivers completing the distance. ... Gary Brown Jr. and Corey Bosma scratched from the main event lineup. Brown pitted during pace laps and never returned.
