Michael Lake celebrates his first ULMS victory since July 28, 2018.
What won the race: Second-starting Michael Lake of Uniontown, Pa., topped a 17-car field to win Thursday's 30-lap, second annual Jason Dunham Memorial at Bradford Speedway. Key notes: Ryan Montgomery led the first handful of laps from the pole before Lake made his move the lead. Montgomery settled for second. ... Reigning ULMS rookie of the year Dylan Cecce gained three spots and rounded out the top-five finishers. ... Two-time series winner at Bradford Greg Oakes improved four positions and placed eighth. ... It was the first series race since Tyler Carpenter won May 3’s $5,000 Topless 50 opener at Ohio Valley Speedway. … Four cautions slowed the race's first four start attempts before the final 26 circuits were completed without additional incident. ... The event honored Jason Dunham, the late U.S. Marine Corps Corporal.
On the move: Jason Dobson of Ceres, N.Y., started 15th and finished 10th.
Winner's sponsors: Lake’s Longhorn Chassis is powered by a Pro Power Racing Engine and carries sponsorship from D&M Truck Repair, Garry’s Auto Sales, Bobby Lake Motorsports, K2 Engineering, Teamsters Local 491, Youngblood Concrete, Tye Twarog Performance, ML Performance, Base Racing Fuel, Bilstein Shocks and Swift Springs.
