What won the race: Clayton Turner of Toccoa, Ga., notched his second Southeastern Late Model Sportsman Series victories in as many seasons, outrunning two-time series champion David McCoy of Franklin, N.C., for a $1,500 payday at Travelers Rest Speedway.
Key notes: The series made its ninth visit to Travelers Rest and second in a row (David McCoy won last season's finale there). ... Clayton Turner's previous series victory came at his hometown Toccoa Speedway on Aug. 31, 2001. ... Saturday's race was Toccoa was cancelled because of cold weather.
