What won the race: Following up on his career-richest victory at Needmore Speedway last November, Travis Carter of Valdosta, Ga., kept rolling for a $3,000 Southern Thunder Late Model Series. Gene Ross and Ivedent Lloyd Jr. never seriously challenged Carter in finishing second in third in a front of a large season-opening crowd.
