What won the race: Late Model rookie Shane Sabraski of Rice, Minn., dominated the first of the Twin Ports Twin 25s on Friday at Gondik Law Speedway for a $2,500 victory, the first of his career on the Structural Buildings WISSOTA Challenge Series. Sabraski took the checkers 0.903 of a second ahead of six-time series champion John Kaanta, who was looking for his first series victory since 2019.

Quotable: "It's super exciting because, I don't know how to say it, but I roll into the pits and you see all these Late Model guys here — and I mean, I am (one) too — but it's like, I don't know, I just don't have a lot of expectations because I feel like I got a lot of work to do to keep up with those guys," Sabraski said. "But here we're running up front, so it's pretty cool."
