What won the race: Storming around the outside of mid-race leader Kyle Berck, 11th-starting Justin Zeitner of Malvern, Iowa, gained command on lap 16 and controlled the remainder of Friday's 30-lap Malvern Bank West Series feature on the undercard of the Silver Dollar Nationals at Huset's Speedway. Zeitner earned $5,053, his second straight series victory and his second consecutive Malvern West triumph at Huset's after topping last year's $5,053 finale.

Key notes: Zeitner crossed the finish line 1.946 seconds ahead of Andrew Kosiski, who overtook Berck for second place on a lap-26 restart. ... Berck settled for third after leading twice for five laps (1-3, 14-15). ... Sixth-starting Bill Leighton Jr. charged forward to lead laps 4-13 before Lee Grosz spun and collected him to draw the race's fourth caution flag.
