What won the race: Capitalizing on race-long leader Bill Leighton Jr.'s miscue on lap 20, fifth-starting Tad Pospisil of Norfolk, Neb., swept past exiting turn four and led the rest of Thursday's 25-lap Malvern Bank West Series event for a $3,000 payday. Pospisil grabbed his second series victory of the season and 35th of his career in topping Leighton, who got too high and slapped the turn-four wall working traffic with six laps remaining.

Quotable: "We just had the car dialed in pretty good. It felt pretty good there. Bill just made a mistake there with that lapped car and we capitalized on it and got the dub," Pospisil said, adding over the last four laps, "we got a good restart and I just drove the hell out of it up on the cushion because I wasn't gonna give it up."
