Trevor Anderson leads all 35 laps for his first Tri-State victory since 2022.
What won the race: Trevor Anderson of Watertown, S.D., earned a flag-to-flag victory in Saturday's 35-lap Big Buck Nationals finale at Brown County Speedway on the Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Late Model Series. Anderson's $3,000 payday marks his first Tri-State victory of the season and the fourth of his career.
Quotable: “This is my favorite racetrack, the worst part about running the Tri-State Series is not being able to run at home and (was) not being able to run here,” Anderson said. “I love this track and this is the biggest win of my career, so I’m very excited.”
Key notes: Anderson added his first Tri-State triumph since his three-win 2022 campaign en route to claiming the series title. ... It's Anderson's second overall victory of the season (July 14 at his home track, Casino Speedway). ... Ninth-starting Mike Greseth reclaimed the runner-up spot on lap 26 and pursued Anderson the final 10 laps, finishing 1.110 seconds back. ... Chad Becker, winner of Friday's $3,000 makeup race and $1,000 Big Buck opener, challenged Greseth for second briefly before settling for third. ... Four cautions slowed the 26-minute race, the largest coming on a lap-24 restart pileup on the frontstretch, ending the nights for Nick Schmidt, Denver Nickeson and Benjamin Chukuske. Mike Stearns and Pat Weisgram were also collected, but continued to finish 11th and 15th, respectively. ... Dyllan Ricks, Lee Grosz and Jaden Christ all retired following the lap-nine melee that triggered the first stoppage. Curt Kranz was also involved, but continued to finish 12th. ... 14 of 25 starters completed 35 laps. ... Cody Martin scratched after slowing during group qualifying.
On the move: Hometown driver Kent Arment started 17th and finished fifth.
