Quotable: "It’s already a big one to remember," Weaver said of his remarkable 2015 season. "This year is in the memory of my dad ... man, I wish he could be here to see this."
Key notes: Weaver scored his second Spring Nationals triumph of the season. ... Ellis turned back late-race challenges from Dale McDowell to finish in the runner-up spot. The series offered a $200 bonus to the highest finishing car utilizing a CT 525 engine as well as a steel-head powerplant. ... Booger Brooks won the Crate Late Model feature.
On the move: Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga., advanced eight positions to finish seventh.
