Fourth-starting Rusty Schlenk trailed Johns for much of the race and reclaimed the runner-up spot from Jadon Frame on lap 28. ... The ninth-starting Frame, of Winchester, Tenn., marched steadily through the field before settling for third. ... Jordon Horton improved 11 positions and placed fourth. ... Christian Hanger led the opening five laps before slipping to third and pulling off on lap 27. ... The race was slowed by three cautions, the second coming on lap 11 after Brad Skinner and Keith Hammett tangled, ending their night. ... Mark Dodson slowed from 10th and pulled off, causing the final slowdown on lap 23. ... The 40-lapper lasted 34 minutes, with nine starters competing the distance. ... Josh Putnam was slated to start from the pole, but he had engine failure during hot laps before intermission. Donald Johns also scratched.
On the move: Brayden Skinner of Spring Hill, Tenn., started 18th and finished sixth.
