Notes: Eldora’s posted $396,900 in prize money over the three days of competition includes winnings from Saturday’s 100-lap finale, two preliminary features on Thursday, two preliminary features on Friday, consolations all three days, two five-lap scrambles on Saturday and the weekend-long rookie program which distributes $5,000 among top first-timers. … To set Saturday’s heat race lineups, drivers earn points through their time trials, heats and features on Thursday and Friday; combined Thursday-Friday points determine Saturday’s heats. … Provisionals for Saturday’s 10th row will be based on those points rather than qualifying times. … Drivers are required to us a Hoosier LM 20 on the left front, right front and left rear. They may use an LM 20 or Hoosier LM 40 on the right rear. Grooving and siping is allowed this year. … The weekend is the richest in Dirt Late Model racing since 2001’s Eldora Million. … Bloomquist (seven), Billy Moyer (two) and Freddy Smith (two) have multiple victories, but no driver has won the event back-to-back. … Saturday’s program includes two consolation races along with two consolation “scrambles” among drivers who fail to transfer. … DIRTcar points are awarded to all drivers throughout the weekend. … Eldora has hosted two Sunoco American Late Model Series races this season with Nick Hoffman of Mooresville, N.C., and Devin Gilpin of Columbus, Ind., earning victories. … Matt Miller of Waterville, Ohio, is the only Johnny Appleseed Classic winner to ever win the Dream, but his Dream triumph didn’t come during one of the five seasons in which he won the Appleseed.
