Action during those two preliminary nights will set the top 18 drivers for Saturday’s 100-lap finale (determined by Thursday-Friday average finishes). … Paying $6,000 to win, Thursday’s Cowboy Classic presented by Hotrod Processing headlines opening night, while honoring late Lucas Oil MLRA co-owner Allen “Cowboy” Chancellor. … Friday’s $6,000-to-win preliminaries pay tribute to race founders Don and Billie Gibson, former owners of West Plains (Mo.) Motor Speedway. … The fifth annual Midwest Sheet Metal Challenge for non-qualifiers pays $2,500-to-win; the winner can opt to pass on the purse and start the 100-lapper. … Eleven drivers have won the race, six of them more than once; Scott Bloomquist’s five victories top the list, but he’s winless since the event moved to Wheatland from West Plains. … Reigning MLRA champion Jesse Stovall of Galena, Mo., has two straight top-five finishes in the Show-Me 100. … Springfield's Terry Phillips is the only Missouri driver to win the Show-Me 100 (1999). … Bloomquist is the only driver to start every race; Wendell Wallace is next with 22 starts. … USRA modifieds battle for $500-to-win features Thursday and Friday with $1,200-to-win on Saturday.
