Rain condenses USA Nationals slate
Facing rain and a wet Thursday forecast, Cedar Lake Speedway’s scheduled three-day USA Nationals weekend will be condensed to two days for World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series action at the New Richmond, Wis., oval.
With Thursday’s $6,000-to-win WoO event rained out, the weekend-opening program has been rescheduled for 5 p.m. Friday with hot laps, time trials, heat races, consolation races and a 30-lap main event (USRA-sanctioned Limited Late Models have been removed from the card).
At the conclusion of the opening event, WoO entrants will move into Friday's regularly-scheduled preliminaries with time trials, heat races and the Fans Fund dash. The track’s NASCAR-sanctioned Late Models are also scheduled for a complete event Friday night.
Weather permitting, Saturday’s event will follow the original schedule with gates opening at 5 p.m. and hot laps at 6:30 p.m. WoO competitors are scheduled for consolation races and the $50,000-to-win, 100-lap main event while NASCAR-sanctioned Late Models are scheduled for another complete program.
DirtonDirt.com still plans live pay-per-view video coverage of all the weekend action. Pay-per-view ordering is now open once again for the weekend's events.
Editor's Note: Updates with the enabling of weekend pay-per-view ordering.
