Thunderbird's event pushed to Sunday
Rain that hit Thunderbird Raceway in Muskegon, Mich., before Wednesday’s DIRTcar Summer Nationals heat races postponed the remainder of the program to Sunday, the series announced. Billy Moyer Jr. of Batesville, Ark., was the fastest of 41 qualifiers and was scheduled to start on the pole of the first heat in the $5,000-to-win program that opened the tour’s final week in Michigan.
Five laps were complete in the race program's third modified heat when rain hit the track, forcing the postonement.
Thursday’s DIRTcar Summer Nationals event is scheduled for Butler Motor Speedway in Quincy, Mich., another $5,000-to-win program.
