Rainouts, postponements for July 29-30
Schedule changes for July 29-30 weekend special and sanctioned Dirt Late Model events:
Cherokee: Saturday's Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series program at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, S.C., was rained out and rescheduled for Aug. 6.
Talladega: Saturday's Topless Outlaws Series event at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Ala., was rained out with a makeup date expected to be announced within one week.
Nevada: Saturday's Dirt Track Bank Cash Money Super Dirt Series event at Nevada (Mo.) Speedway was rained out and rescheduled for Aug. 13.
Fayetteville: Saturday's Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Model Series event at Fayetteville (N.C.) Motor Speedway was removed from the night's program because of a gloomy forecast. The race won't be rescheduled. The track planned to continue with a four-division local program including 602 Crate Late Models
Wythe: Grappled by persistent rain showers throughout the week, Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Va., has postponed Saturday's $10,000-to-win American All-Star Series event to Sept. 4, part of the existing Pro Late Model Nationals.
Boyd's: Friday's Schaeffer's Southern Nationals at Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Ga., was rained out and the $10,053-to-win event won't be rescheduled. The series wraps up Saturday with the $10,053-to-win finale at Tazewell (Tenn.) Speedway.
Ohio Valley: Friday's Keith Barker Memorial at Ohio Valley Speedway in Washington, W.Va., was rained out; the $5,000-to-win Super Late Model event was rescheduled for Aug. 27.
Thunderhill: Facing forecasts for thunderstorms, Thunderhill Raceway Park in Summertown, Tenn., postponed its Crate Racin' USA Series event; the race was rescheduled for Sept. 3.
Creek County: Friday's Sooner Late Model Series event at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla., was rained out; no makeup date was immediately announced.
