Wild West Shootout shifts to Thursday
VADO, N.M. — Making adjustments for cold weather and the possibility of snow showers at Vado Speedway Park, Wednesday’s third round of the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout has been rescheduled for Thursday evening, event promoters announced today. | Complete WWS coverage
Thursday’s action will follow the announced Wednesday time schedule with Super Late Models chasing a $10,000-to-win purse with modifieds and X-mods on the undercard. Thursday's general admission is free thanks to sponsorship from Bend, Ore.-based AM-1 Roofing.
The new schedule sets up four consecutive days of racing to conclude the Super Late Model winter miniseries with another $10,000-to-win event Friday evening, a $10,000-to-win event Saturday afternoon and the $25,000-to-win finale Sunday afternoon.
Officials also moved up Tuesday’s practice one hour earlier with the track available from 4-8 p.m. Practice is $250 per car with free admission.
